Pure Power is a concept for new office space to be realised in the power plant of Halle Trotha. For this purpose, the single-storey extension of the historic Jost building is being restructured. Alongside a general modernization of the outdated premises, the rooms are also nested, small and in some cases have no access to fresh air and direct daylight.

First, the clear grid of the building structure with its supports and beams is taken up providing together with the access to the main building, the new typology. The demands on the spaces are diverse, so multifunctional areas are used. Mobility zones are provided with additional functions so that pure corridor areas can be omitted. Spacious rooms are created that offer space for fixed and flexible working in different situations. Transparency has been incorporated into the design concept as the company’s guiding principle, creating open spaces that flow smoothly into one another, while the colour scheme of the corporate identity is also reflected in the lounge furniture. The highlight of Pure Power is the patio, that finds place under a former skylight. Due to its central location, the green spot is visible from all offices and provides fresh air and daylight even in the innermost part of the building.
